GICA is hosting a webinar created exclusively for Compliance Collaborative members. If you are unsure whether you represent a Compliance Collaborative member school, please contact Judy Spain. If there are other folks on your campus that would be interested in attending this webinar training, please forward this information on to them.
Each institution needs to understand the various issues that surround having minors on campus. Those minors could be in your residence hall, visiting your residence halls as guests, attending events with their parents, or attending a camp designed for the minors. Each of these situations creates unique safety and compliance issues.
This webinar will focus on the above scenarios and will discuss the following topics:
- Geographical issues and overall safety plan;
- Can the parent/guardian “check out” their child from the camp?
- Identifying what records must be maintained by the institution;
- Waivers, medical forms, etc.
- What training and education must be provided;
- Institution’s ongoing screening efforts for employees/third parties; and
- Is adequate supervision in place.
Registration Deadline: Monday, December 2 at 4:00 p.m. Registration and log-in information will be sent to registrants on Monday, December 2, 2019 after 4:00 p.m.
