Developing a Code of Conduct/Code of Ethics for your institution is challenging. While it seems like everyone would like to have a clearly developed protocol that would assist an employee in dealing with ethical issues as well as a policy that would clearly set forth the institution’s vision and goals, developing and implementing a Code of Conduct/Code of Ethics invariably is greeted by mistrust and resistance.
This webinar will focus first on the differences between a Code of Conduct and a Code of Ethics. We will then delve into how to develop a Code of Conduct, what elements should be included, and how to create institutional buy-in and support. We will also be discussing whether this Code should be a method to influence or control employee behavior or should this Code be aspirational in nature. Finally, this webinar will discuss practical hands-on techniques that will help users create and communicate effective Code of Conduct/Code of Ethics.
Registration Deadline: Monday, March 23 at 4:00 p.m. Registration and log-in information will be sent to registrants on Monday, March 23 after 4:00 p.m.
Presenter: Judy Spain, J.D., CCEP
