GICA Compliance Collaborative Program

Title IX – Hearing Panel Members
(For GICA CCP Schools Only)

GICA is hosting an online training created exclusively for Compliance Collaborative members. If you are unsure whether you represent a Compliance Collaborative member school, please contact   Judy Spain.  If there are other folks on your campus that would be interested in attending this in-person training, please forward this information on to them.

Join your colleagues for an in-depth training designed to provide Hearing Panel members, as well as Title IX Coordinators, Deputy Coordinators, Investigators,  Advisors, Appeal Officers, HR personnel, and anyone associated with administering Title IX with an understanding of current compliance requirements for Live Hearings.

The role of the Hearing Panel members has changed with the adoption of the new Title IX Final Rule.  Panelists/decision-makers now play a more active role in the Live Hearing.  Individuals who are serving in this important function need to understand their responsibilities and duties.

This training is designed to provide a base knowledge of the role of the Hearing Panel members.  Since institutions do have some flexibility in determining how a Live Hearing is conducted, each institution is strongly encouraged to also provide institution-specific training of Hearing Panel members.
