<title>Georgia FAFSA Applications Down 24%</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>19 APR 2024&nbsp;</p><p>It's no secret the FAFSA rollout has been ... challenging. &nbsp;<a href="https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/timothy.minich/viz/FAFSADashboard_17125856763600/Dashboard1">Human Capital Research has published a tableau dashboard </a>showing the actual impact. &nbsp;As of April 12, national application numbers are down 25% and Georgia is seeing similar numbers, with a decline of 24%. &nbsp;The HCR dashboard shows completion data at the high school level. &nbsp;</p><p>Georgia appears to be out-performing other Southern states, as the highest declines can be seen in TN (37%), WV (32%), MS (31%), AL (31%) and FL (30%). &nbsp;</p><p>The House Education &amp; Labor Committee held a hearing on the FAFSA rollout problems, which can be watched <a href="http://https://edworkforce.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=410357">here</a>. &nbsp;</p>]]></description>
