Collaborative Purchasing
Share |

GICA established a collaborative purchasing program to offer member institutions the opportunity to contain operating costs and improve efficiency. Agreements are offered to GICA members through multiple avenues, including those negotiated by GICA as well as those negotiated by national group purchasing organizations for GICA institutions.

GICA Collaborative Purchasing Agreements

GICA negotiates purchasing agreements on behalf of its 24 member institutions with local and regional companies. These agreements allow members to buy goods and services at discounted prices or with specific stipulations that improve institutional efficiency. Coalition for College Cost Savings Agreements

The Coalition is the first comprehensive and collaborative purchasing effort focused exclusively on independent, private higher education institutions throughout the United States. The Coalition leverages the collective buying power of private colleges to reduce operating costs, improve the efficiency of internal procedures and ultimately lower the cost of delivering education. Either click the link below  or contact Lyen Crews for more information about The Coalition’s program offerings.

Educational & Institutional (E&I)
Cooperative Agreements

E&I serves as an extension of college and university procurement departments and leverages the knowledge and expertise of more than 5,000 member institutions throughout the United States. This provides savings GICA institutions may not be able to achieve on their own. E&I handles the entire RFP process, from research and RFP development through contract management. To learn more about E&I contracts, please click the link below or email Michael Einhorn.

OMNIA Partner Agreements

Using a universally trusted procurement model relied upon by elite higher education institutions throughout the United States, OMNIA Partners (formerly known as National IPA) brings unparalleled efficiencies and speed to the purchasing process to help institutions achieve their mission of student success, while attracting and retaining students and faculty. To learn more about the PNC Bank P-card contract, please contact Monica Nowell. To learn more about other OMNIA agreements, please click the link below.

To assist in defraying administrative costs, a modest amount of support may be received by GICA under the terms of agreements with some companies in the collaborative purchasing program.

Please contact Lisa Macke, Vice President for Member Services, if you would like more information regarding collaborative purchasing agreements.
